Dr. Tozi Gutiérrez
is an Associate Professor of Practice in the School of Social Work at Portland State University, OR. She was previously a faculty member in the School of Social Work at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Dr. Gutiérrez earned her B.A. in Psychology from Western Oregon State University, an MSW from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Doctorate in Leadership Studies from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Gutiérrez's areas of research include how instructors influence minoritized student engagement and satisfaction and the implementation of culturally responsive online social work education. Dra. Gutierrez has been a facilitator for ESCALA’s certificate in College Teaching and Learning, Culturally Responsive Facilitation and Moving Towards Serving courses since 2021.
