For professionals who routinely lead meetings, workshops, or otherwise gather folks together to work on Latinx and Hispanic student success. The Culturally Responsive Facilitation program teaches practitioners how to "walk your equity talk", by demonstrating a Latinx-centered, collectivist facilitation model. The CRF program teaches practitioners how to "walk your equity talk", by demonstrating a Latinx-centered, collectivist facilitation model. Participants be led by ESCALA's team of facilitation experts who and learn relevant strategies and protocols that prepare them to lead difficult conversations especially those related to change and uncertainty.

Included in the Course:
We'll demonstrate and provide time for you to try out techniques for equitizing speaking and listening protocols and engage in discussions about your learning experience.
We’ll spend time talking about the complexities of being a facilitator in HSI spaces.
We’ll show you how we anticipate and contain derailers and detractors so you'll know how to create safe spaces that protect your expertise.

Topics, delivered via Zoom live, include how to respond confidently to common ‘derailing’ situations that occur in HSIs, as well as how to help your participants feel connected and inspired to do DEI work that moves your HSI forward in serving students. We will also and how to protect yourself as a facilitator, as well as how to team effectively with others in facilitation.

The program is intentionally small in order for participants to have opportunities to fine tune practices and skill sets through discussions with and receive private feedback from our seasoned facilitators. The course includes an Intercultural Development Inventory self-assessment and plan to increase cultural competence.
